  • A grade 12 certificate or equivalent.
  • No experience required.


  • Basic knowledge of supply chain duties, practices as well as the ability to capture data, operate computers,s and collecting statistics.
  • Basic knowledge and understanding of the legislative framework governing the Public Service.
  • Basic knowledge of work procedures in terms of the working environment.
  • KPA’S: Problem-solving skills, Computer skills, Interpersonal relations, Communication skills (Verbal & written)


  • Render asset management clerical support:
  1. Compile and maintain records (e.g. asset records/databases).
  2. Check and issue furniture, equipment, and accessories.
  3. Components and individuals.
  4. Identify redundant, non-serviceable, and obsolete equipment for disposal.
  5. Verify asset register.
  • Render demand and acquisition clerical support:
  1. Update and maintain a supplier (including contractors) database.
  2. Register suppliers on Logis or a similar system.
  3. Request and receive quotations.
  4. Capture specification on the electronic purchasing system.
  5. Place orders. Issue and receive bid documents.
  6. Provide secretariat or logistical support during the bid consideration and contract conclusion process.
  7. Compile draft documents as required.
  • Render logistical support services:
  1. Place orders for goods.
  2. Receive and verify goods from suppliers.
  3. Capture goods in registers databases.
  4. Receive requests for goods from end-users.
  5. Issue goods to end-users.
  6. Maintain goods register.
  7. Update and maintain the register of suppliers.
