Traffic Officers Diploma Learnership



The Department of Community Safety, Security and Liaison invite applications for a Traffic Officers Learnership which seeks to eradicate unemployment amongst the youth with knowledge and skills in Traffic Law enforcement. Preference will be given to people from disadvantaged communities in Mpumalanga and unemployed youth in the Mpumalanga Province.


Minimum requirements:

  • ¬†Grade 12
  • At least a Code B driving license
  • South African citizen
  • No criminal record
  • Applicants should be aged between the age of 18 years and 35 years of age.
  • Must be physically fit


The traffic training will be conducted in the Mpumalanga Traffic Training College at Mkhulu (Calcutta) in Bushbuckridge Local Municipality. The Department will conduct all the criminal records checks.

All the successful candidates will be expected to enter into a 12-month contract with the Department and on completion learners will receive a Diploma in Basic Traffic Officers: NQF 4.
